I was adjusting my ai primes height when tge hex key fell aminto the tank and idk where it is. ive removed some rockwork and checked but theres nothing. will it be fine for me to leave it in there?

Most likely it is made out of steel so definitely not good to leave it in a saltwater tank.

though i am a bit puzzled on how a hex tool in an aquarium cannot be found ?

how big is your tank ?

no, use a magnet on a string or a stick magnet to retrieve.

I would do whatever you can to try and remove that from your tank, you don't want metals leaching into your tank water
