Hello fellow reefers,
I have been a longtime lurker and because my local forum has been somewhat dormant I decided to get more active here. I started this tank in spring of 2012 and there has been a lot of ups and downs, the most significant was a power outage in the winter of 2014. I did a revamp and decided to go full sps. I believe the biggest limitation has been the small amount of water volume.
I figure a tank thread is a good way to get started on the forum.
Here is an overview of my reef tank:
Equipment:
  • Gutted RSM130
  • Radion pro with T5 retrofit kit
  • 2x Vortech MP10
  • Tunze 9002
  • BRS GFO/Carbon reactor
  • BubbleMagus Doser
  • Ehiem Jager heater
  • Tunze Ozmolator
Coral:
  • Montipora Digitata
  • Encrusting Montipora
  • Montipora Capricornis
  • Acropora
  • Pocillopora
  • Stylophora
  • Ricordea
  • Yuma
  • Zoanthids
  • Mini maxi anemones
  • Rock flower anemones
Fish:
  • 2x Occelaris clownfish
  • Springeri Dottyback
My hopes with this thread is to learn from others who have sps dominated nanos and also share what I have learned!

My camera is on the fritz for some reason so I'll have to settle for some crappy iPhone pictures for now. I had some issues with high alkalinity and 0 nutrients that really took a toll on my coral, that is why some coral had to be chopped and replied healthy parts. Hopefully everything should bounce back.
