Dry reef rock

I would like to add a small piece of rock to my 7 month old tank. Found a piece of dry reef rock that would work perfect for my needs. is there any issue adding this to my tank?

If it was live at one one point you might get a small ammonia spike, if not rinse it off in ro/di and drop it in.:D

The rock is three pounds and I have 80lbs in the tank all ready. it is the real reef rock that is dry. Like you said @143MPCo I think I am fine dropping it in. But I might what to set it in with a glass tank;)
