I recommend starting the hunt for older Hydra 26s. I'd put 3 of them on that tank. You can get them for about $150. I run 2 on my 40g that is 36". My main is 48" and I run 2x Hydra 52 and 1 Hydra 26. It's 30" deep though. You can save a lot of money buying things here if you are patient. I recently got a 26 off of here. He had a bunch. He may still have some. FYI there isn't much difference between the 26s and 32s. You don't need HDs but you don't want the 1st Gen that can't use wifi.

You can also grab Apex Classics with eb8 and display for $150. They work just as good as the newer gen. Mine is 14 years old and ive never had an issue.

I recently got the jebao ecp90 gyre. I have it as low as it can go. One of those is all you need for that tank. It's pretty sweet for $110.

Get dry sand. I recommend 2 of these and use 60#. Rinse it first in RODI...

So, I can build my scape with epoxy glued dry rock, then get 10-20% live rock, put some RODI water with heater in a brute can and a powerhead, throw the scape in there with it, and in 6 weeks all rock with be fully seeded and ready to be placed in my display without worry of hitchhikers/algae as long as no light gets in?

Dont I need a source of ammonia? Mind you, this is a new tank.
