Submerged or just wet?
Submerged magnets: no, do not submerge; sealed/encased or not
Just wet? Don’t worry about it, you are better off worrying about those sensors, and that ridiculously small fill-up hole on the float switch....trust me

Neptune says it can be fully submerged. They do recommend inspecting it periodically like any other submersible magnet.

Yes, it should be fully sealed. Try not to drop it or bang the two magnet sides together.

Like any magnet in your tank, it should be checked every once in a while to ensure it is not corroding.
Ok, yeah I might still be suffering trauma from the last cracked magnet in the ole frag rack. Actually I do have a few submerged mags on my feeder and veg clips. But as stated, inspect and don’t trust

What should I be worried about the sensors? What fill up hole on the float are you talking about?

The optical sensors on the mounting bracket used to be junk; I had 2 ATK’s so I had to replace 4 optical switches (about $100) .... you probably have v2 which is supposedly better
...as for the fill port, its mechanically open/closed by the float switch (its just under it and VERY smaller) Make sure your RO is clear and if you use kalkwasser for top off, I’d recommend decanting just the clear saturate
