Somebody buy me some goggles ;Dead

Hopefully my eye fairs ok. Fat fingered a frag I was packing to ship and smashed two zoa polyps. Sent water/zoa guts right into my eye ;Facepalm
Dang!

Tunze set up with all my fingers still in tact!

(lol)
Good news, Nolan

Could you tell the strength in the Tunze magnets?

Yes they were very strong. Reminded me of my Tunze Turbelle 6105. It’s got a really strong one as well.

I’m somewhat laid up after a procedure Friday. I’m on the skimmer hunt. I want to fit the biggest I can in my 55g sump. I’m not sure if a Nyos 220 will or not.

I am also building a shopping cart of fish on Live Aquaria. I plan on filling up two 2 QTs. One of smaller fish and one with a couple tangs.

Hope you recover soon! I'm probably going to need to have a torn meniscus repaired, I've been putting it off for way too long because I don't want to deal with the recovery.

What size skimmer chamber is in your sump?
Thanks.

I’ve got about 11.5” x 7.5” currently. I’ve got to remove the filter sock plate to change the 7.5” to 13.5”. I haven’t used filter socks ever so it’s kinda just there holding drains in place. Which they would be fine without it.

Deltec 1000i is 9.45" x 6.1" x 20.5", the 1500i would even fit at 10.83" x 7.28" x 22.83". I mention them again because I'm very pleased with my 600i, close to silent, the manual neck cleaner is a neat feature, and who doesn't like ordering stuff from BattleCorals?

Maybe one of the Reef Octopus Elite? I had one of their Diablo DC skimmer years ago and it worked great, Elite looks like the evolution of that.

I’ll check into the Deltec. Just sent Adam a PM!

I’m also considering trying to grow GSP on my back glass, I’m tired of cleaning algae off of it.
I have been playing around with the same thought too. We have sooooo much glass to clean. ;Hurting

Good luck on the skimmer search!

I have a BM Nac 7 (the curve replaced it) I dealt with the people in CA who handle BM-U.S. customer support. Got it used, was missing a bon spacer that kept the pinwheel needle on the shaft lock. 24 bucks, And 3 days later, I get the pinwheels assembly brand new with magnets, and now all i hear my water, and that's it. Never hear the skimmer. It's great and is configured for the auto-drain line for the cup as well if u please. Customer support is big, and BM has it, and its DomUS.

I made a thread about skimmer vendors a while back, lemme look for it.

This is why I let the coraline grow there, completely covered now except for overflow ;)
