I've already purchased these lights from ebay. I see a lot of mixed reviews online, but does anyone have any real experience with these? Love them, hate them, coral growth, ease of use?

Got my lights set up. I had to build a hanging frame this morning for it. I used aluminum box metal and angle metal. Turned out ok...

The quality of the lights seem pretty good so far. They feel durable and the fans are quiet. This is only day one, I'll give another update in a week

These were the first lights I had for my tank and I hated them. Setting them up for corals was a pain and after two months one of the units went bad. I had a BTA that was doing terrible and I replaced the lights with two Red Sea Reef LED 90s and they are awesome. The BTA perked up and I had coral growth finally. The instructions were hard to understand I think because they were poorly translated from Japanese to English.

This is a pic with DsunY lights

I was however able to use them for my refugium and they grow chaeto like crazy so that is one plus.

That's awesome. Glad they work for you, I just couldn't figure them out and I was really irritated that the one unit went bad.

Hello, I'm in the process of looking for new lights for my 60" 120G, are you still enjoying these lights? I was looking on amazon and ebay and they seem reasonably priced compared to the name brands, I'm actually looking at the units without the cooling fans even my macbook air cooling fans annoys me lol

i have the popbloom turing30 and although nice and the sunrise sunset is a nice feature i do have a couple peeves ( keep in mind my tank isnt even set up yet due to still needing a couple more items ( dr tims one and only and a second marinepure 8x8x4 block). 1st to much white light for my liking as white drowns out color ( im talking i put something with some flourescence in the tank without water and it looks drab), 2nd moonlights ( have a blue and green stripe look without water so i assume it will have a "disco ball" moonlight effect, 3rd instructions for limiting output on the seasonal cycle setting is slim to nil ( of course there isnt much programming info online anywhere for that matter, and lastly the cord frm controller to primary light is ultra short and there is no stock of extensions in the usa so you have to mount the controller close to the light close to the water or under canopy in a high humidity location ( this will most likely shorten the life of the controller meaning you might as well get a jump and order a replacement controller and an extension cable while you are at it from china).
