Dumb ways to die

I was installing my UV sterilizer and had the pump off overnight checking for slow leaks and my starry blenny decided to swim up the outtake tube since it had no flow . Sorry for the messy image but I thought it might save some other blennies if I posted. Simple fix would’ve been to just pull the tubing completely out of the tank and leave them vertical for the night to test it. I’m a newbie and had no idea a fish would be curious enough to do this

Yeah it was doing that was as well but was able to get off them. I’d heard they were funny fish to have with big personalities and man everyone wasn’t kidding.

Dont feel bad. I used to have a makeshift tank cover trying to prevent jumpers. They would still find the smallest place.

Years and years of keeping fish. I am always seeing they find a new way to die.
