so my salinity was a little low. so in a hurry to get to bed i dumped a half a cup of salt into my sump thinking it would dissolve. now i know better than this i have no idea why i done it but i did. now my Monti and my war coral have little white speckles on them. so here goes a month of recovery. so now im looking for something really hard to bang my head against.

I've done the exact same thing(in sump) but didn't have any negative results as far as I could tell.

I've done this many many times with no problems - I guess you have to just make sure that no undissolved salt gets picked up by the return and gets sent back to the tank.
