For those that have acclimated Duncan's before, how long did it take for it to fully acclimate?

I got a colony on Saturday and it's been acclimating nicely (I think). I did change the powerhead flow since I noticed the area I put my Duncan at seemed to have a more moderator flow, rather than a low to low moderate flow.

I know it needs to acclimate to flow and light, and it can take several days. Just wanted to see when others acclimated and how long I should wait before moving it if I need to.

TIA!

Mine always settle in very quickly. The only time I have struggles is if they are getting too much flow. Just see how they extend (or don't) and you can figure that out.

are they sand bed happy or rock mount happy?
How do you know which is which? I have it on the low end of my live rock.
if they are getting too much flow.
I was thinking this was the issue, so I changed the flow and they aren't being bombarded by it anymore. It looked like in was moderate, but now it's definitely on the lower side.

My duncans seem to be thinking about opening, but still won't fully budge

I meant duncans in general. I used to have a big colony on a rock but I think it could have done better on the sand maybe not, not sure trying to figure it out too

My Duncan has been on the sand for a long time, happy as can be. I recently upgraded my tank, and now it's on rocks, and still, happy as can be.

Duncans are very resilent and can acclimate to a very wide variety of conditions. What lights are you running? Are there any other corals in the tank? How are they doing?

I'm running AI Prime 16HD and I have several lps, sps, and softies in the tank and everything else has opened. There's a toadstool near by and a clove polyp near by that are opened.

1 AI Prime? Not enough especially on a tall tank ... MAYBE if you run near 100%.. BUT the spread on the Prime is terrible.
I use 1 on a 5gal...
Yeah, I agree, the lighting may be low.

OP, just keep things as stable as possible, and see how the duncan does. If it gets worse overtime, let us know. Hopefully it's just acclimatind and will be fluffy soon.
