So I have this Duncan that is slowly creeping up on my Gorgonian (rusty I believe). It doesn’t seem like my gorg is thrashing into the Duncan too crazy but soon it will be very close. But everyone is telling me to frag the Duncan or move the gorg. Anyway I want a second opinion what would you guys do.

It might even work out, both are pretty harmless actually.
That’s what I’m saying! We will see what happens. I just really don’t want my Duncan getting stung! But I haven’t found many people with this issue so I might just let it happen unless I see one of the 2 closing up.

Both are basically “stingless” so I think it’ll be ok. And yeah very nice Duncan. colony
Yes that’s what I’ve read however some people have reported their gorgs stinging, I am mostly worried about the Duncan so the gorg is probably getting fragged out haha. They are like weeds in my tank

Gorgonians don't sting, they release toxins (same as leather corals do). My gorgs are all touching other corals all day, there is no issue.

I have encroaching Gorgonian and Duncans, there does not seem an issue. Lovely colony of Duncans.

I predict the gargonian will attach to the skeleton of the Duncan. Probably not much damage but if you intend to seperate at that time, you will have to cut them apart.

That’s what I was under the impression of, but some of my friends have said they had issues in the past. I think they will be fine!

Haha yes that’s another concern as well. I had a similar issue when my long polyp leather attached on to my mystic monti.
