Anyone know why some of the heads are doing this? I have an another colony that is not doing this. Thanks.

Hey! My Duncan is doing the same thing. But the colony next to it is just fine. Any ideas? It was fully extended two days ago. it does this once in awhile

You see this with types of LPS, no one knows the cause or causes.
It appears to be self limiting, and doesn't affect the coral adversely.
Speculation is that lighting my be the cause and or alterations in water chemistry. I am in the lighting camp.

i agree with lighting, there's a chalice frag at lfs that was normal a week ago and has developed to small "bounces"
