My BTA has rooted in a what I think is a perfect spot in my tank. Small issue is the current placement of a Duncan Coral that I have had which has grown from 3 to 9 heads and is currently hosting my Clowns.

I am not sure if it has affected anything yet, I have seen no burns, but is it just a matter of time? Should I hold out and hope for the best or move the Duncan, upsetting my Clowns?

My BTA has recently decided to split and move all over the tank. It’s been up against some corals but never seems to bother them. It’ll move after a day or two I’m hoping it’s because it wasn’t to stretch out and doesnt like the feel of the coral next to it.

I think you'll be fine, but I know your issue. I have a hammer mounted on one island in my tank that was hosting my clowns. I got a BTA and put it on another island and by the next day it had moved and parked itself right next to my hammer. The BTA has now split and all three are next to each other. The clowns love it because they now wiggle in all three. Sometimes things are closed up a bit, and I've been thinking of moving the hammer, but mostly they're all getting along.

by your picture though, it seems you could move the Duncan down just a bit. Get it a bit farther away. It won't be too far and the clowns will probably be ok.

I have a lot of real estate to move it. Just to the left of where it sits now is a ledge the sits about 4-5" down. I also was wondering if lowering it in the tank (less PAR) would actually be beneficial for it.

Moving it won't bother your clowns atall, I've moved mine all over the place to get it away from my clowns and they just set up shop wherever it is :)

I moved it yesterday, they were ticked, lol.

They just hovered on the spot it used to be all night :(. Hopefully today they realize where it is or just decide to finally try and host in the BtA.
