Have a reef ready 180 with dual overflows and thinking about switching them over to Herbie style overflows. Both overflows have one return and one drain. When I make the switch should I have one overflow with a main drain and a return and then the other overflow box with one drain and one emergency? Or have both overflows the same with one drain and one emergency drain with the return coming up over the back of the tank?

I would lean toward using the holes in the overflows for drains and take the return up and over.
