I am really excited for you both! What fun!
My husband Dave and I ride also. I agree that there are seasons for it and times to be "between bikes". Haha, I sold my first bike when I was about 20 yrs old and a poor, broke college student. My between bikes lasted 20 yrs and did not get another until I was 40. My husband didn't ride and didn't really like bikes but 2 yrs later he got one and was hooked. We have ridden from our house to all the lower 48 states and in 2023 we rode to Alaska! So I guess we are pretty die hard.

If I'm wrong and you're on a harly, i apologize but is that a Suzuki? My boyhood dirt bike was an 82 Suzuki 185 ts. Whata great bike. It was stolen in 93 or I'd still have it.

Good eyes Raymond, I am on a Suzuki Boulevard, (VL 800). Ha ha, actually my username is a veiled reference to my motorcycle, although not sure about the angel part! LOL

Awsome!! Suzuki is a great bike. When things look up a bit we want either a kawasaki concours or triumph 955 tiger. But thats a few years away.

I understand. I got my 1st street and trail bike (125 yamaha) when I was 15 yrs old. I had it til I was 19 or 20 but sold it because I was in college. I didn't get another bike til I was 40 but never gave up the dream.

For sure. Theres a freedom one can experience on a motorcycle that once felt, will continue to call to the spirit forever. We're leaning toward the concours because of size. Not the displacement, 1352cc is to much engine for a bike in my opinion. But the sitting space is amazing. I'm 285lbs. The concours fits us with precision if that makes sense.

No, it's very disappointing! We had to wait a full week before we could even report it missing. We did that over a week ago and we have heard nothing. Even if they did show up I can't believe that they would survive this long so I will send you folks another box but I am waiting for the macros to recover enough to prune again. I am sorry that you are having to wait. I will let you know when I send them.

Hi Raymond, we have filed a claim and still no word from the PO. Tomorrow I plan to harvest some macros again and try mailing them to you and Brittany. This time I don't have ulva but I can mail gracilaria hayi and codium.

All this took a little longer than expected because we got hit with a severe storm last Tuesday and were without power for 28 hours plus some major damage. I would like to mail you the macros before the weather gets too hot. Here are pics of the worst damage! You can see how close this tree is to our house (in the last pic) so we are thankful to the Lord that it missed.

Wow!! I'm super thankful for your home not being crushed. God is great!! We're extremely grateful for your kindness. Our tank will certainly be better for it. My nitrates have been running a bit high. The macros will love it!! Our stomatella snail culture is up and running. We have 4 to start with, they will become many in a few months. Your welcome to some iif you'd like. Amphipods as well, tho they are slow to propagate. My friend at our LFS is gonna give me the big carbon pad out of his filter when he changes it. It should have over 100 on it. That will kick it off nicely. We postponed the ponies temporarily. Hydroids!! We manually removed 3, and got 4 young peppermint shrimp to eat them. Shouldn't be to long. Do you know anything else to help eradicate them? Thank you for everything.

Hi bikerbutter! Hey, I used to have erectus seahorses in a 36g bowfront.

The one downside to macroalgae in a dwarf tank is hitch hiking hydroids that can sting your little herd. I love macroalgae in a seahorse tank and there is dips that can be used to kill the hydroids, although I can't remember what it is called. You will need to be on the look out for hydroids with hatching artemia too as that can also introduce them into your tank. Keeping dsh is not for the faint of heart.

We got our 2nd gorgonian and will be getting more. I hadn't seen 1 in person befor and run across a guy who had 3 species!! We are the waiting list for the third when he frags it. The purple one is the one we're waiting for.

Hello all!! My wife Brittany and I are beginning the build of a 36 gallon bow front tank(petsmart, on sale for 199.99 with cabinet/stand) with a 15 gallon refugium for 10 dwarf seahorses to start. They are to be joined by 10 little blue leg hermits, 5-10(hopefully 10) sexy shrimp, and a few snails. I'm a little nervous about live rock. We will be starting with dry rock. I'm going to TRY to load pics but it may take me a spell to figure out how, lol. We truly appreciate seahorses and wish to keep them HAPPY to the max and thriving. With this in mind, we intend to be very patient, creating a perfect environment for them. We estimate a month for the cycle. We will then allow 2 months for the tank to mature a bit. Get a steady stream of copes and rots flowing for our ponies to graze on, lots of positive algae and bacteria can grow, and let our gorgonians take hold firmly. We will run 2-3 bbs hatcheries and keep an enrichment schedule for maximum nutritional value. I'm long winded i know, lol. Will post again soon, and will do my best to answer any questions and entertain any ideas. Thank you.
