He’s been in there for about a week. Seems to move around okay. I floated his bag for like 20 mins. Then drip acclimated for an hour. Transferred to the tank w/o him being exposed to the air. I don’t know what it is. I’m sure someone is more experienced than me. I’m new....

How old is your tank? I’ve never had one but I’ve heard/read that starfish need mature aquariums that house lots of micro critters and algae.

Hate to say it but it’s probably dying...starfish will decompose from the inside out, quickly. If it’s not eating and the legs are starting to feel mushy....I’d put
It in a ziplock and put him in the freezer. Linckia are not a beginner sea star, and even an advanced aquarist can do everything right and still lose them. The are extremely sensitive to watcher changes

Hey @Justin101714 . How did your blue linckia turn out? I'm about to post my experience and ran across this post.

That's too bad.

I just lost my 3rd. Too coincidental to lose 3 attempts in a period of 4-6 weeks so i sent my water off to get proper testing. I won't try for a 4th.. at least not with these blue guys. Like the saying that some things are better left in the ocean. I think blue lincks are one of those prime examples.

I agree. I’ll stick with the chocolate chips and sand sifters.
