Thought I'd log my Dynamite growth. This is once really nice chalice so I'd figured everyone would enjoy seeing the progress. I'll try to update regularly.

No problem! I'd love to see everyone's progress on this chalice. Maybe we can get more people to post up theirs on this thread and kinda keep a log of all the growth.

I got it less than a month ago and this is how it looked. There's no real noticeable growth since then although it does get all puffy at night when I feed.

Oh, BTW I feed 4 nights a week using Reef Roids and Fuana Marin LPS pellets(Med). I do 2x a week WC since my tank is a nano (7.5 gal). No dosing.

The Dynamite is a beautiful coral.

I'll be tagging along to see everybody's growth rates.

Mine is in a 7.5 gallon nano right at the top. It's sitting about 17 inches away from a LEDtric full spectrum par38 bulb. I really recommend t5's or even mh for it. Place it accordingly though. Just experiment with your frag but make sure to keep an eye on it.

Bad news. My frag just brown jelly on me. It was fine then about 2 hrs later, I checked up on my tank and it all the flesh was almost gone. It's sitting next to 2 other chalices and those are nice and puffed up. Kinda weird. Sorry guys, I guess there's not progression for me until I get another frag of it. :)

Man, what a bummer!! Sorry to hear this!

Thanks. It's ok though. Chadderbox will be posting his progress. :) I will get another frag eventually and will post it's progress too. If anyone else wants to post theirs, it'll be nice for all of us that don't have the dynamite. :D

I like the par 38. It brought back some of my reds and pinks on lps. Sps seems to like it too so I'm very satisfied with it. However, I would rather have a t5 fixture because it's a more spread out light. If my sps isn't almost directly under the light, the shaded part does not grow. That's the only drawback to the light.
