Something eating my Toadstool leathers. Both my toadstool edges - fish?? Only have a niger trigger, tang, zebra eel. Parasite? Any suggestions?

Is it possible that the sinularia next to it is stinging it? I have a sinularia that has been killing back gsp..

No. I have two in different areas of the tank. Both are being affected. It’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.

So weird, sorry I wasn’t able to help and goodluck with your investigation.

Did you check it at night? Possibly try with a red light. Might catch a culprit.

I will. Do you feel it’s a parasite? How do you know how to get rid of them. The toadstools are huge, probably 14” across.

Searching the web shows several things can nibble on toadstools...including certain shrimp, crabs, snails, nudibranches and flatworms. Would have it see it happen. Somethings show up when there is no light.
