Tonight after lights out I noticed this tube like creature on the face of my toadstool leather. It is soft and has a mucus web coming from it that it can retract. Should I remove this, and if so, how?

Scrape it off. Tweezers...
Looks like a vermatid snail but that would have a calcified tube.

I gently tried to scrape it off this morning. It is definitely not calcified - the top of it just smeared away when I scraped. The base however is still there. I was hesitant to apply too much pressure. The leather is now having a moment so I think I’ll monitor for now and try to remove the base in another session.
