Just recently I was not able to turn my skimmer off using the fusion app. Previously was able to and now I cannot turn it off. Still on even when I slide it to off. It's been plugged into port #3 on my EB8 since the beginning. Any thoughts?

Do the other outlets turn on or off?
is it that you can’t turn it on or off thru the app? Or is it that when your use the app to turn It on or off, app works fine but outlet just doesn’t turn on/off?

Sounds like the contacts have become stuck. I have had this happen on one before but it was due to me using the outlet to directly control my heaters so was cycling on and off far too much.

If none of the outlets switch on the EB8 when you activate them from the app: it’s most likely a 12v buck converter. It’s about $15 for a quality one and the old one needs soldiered off and a new one soldiered on. I found a local person, brought the EB8 and part to them and it was about $25 bucks - $40 fix.

I'd rule out the configuration problem first. Local instead of fusion, update EB832 (is it, or is it an EB8?) firmware even if it says it's up to date, check if any other outlets are not working.
Assuming this is not a config problem, there is a good chance this is the classic 12v PSU problem. A couple of good ways to test for this that I discuss here: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/another-attempt-at-fixing-apex-eb832.804717/
Turn on all 8 outlets manually. If the PSU is dying, it will struggle to power all 8 relays at the same time and you should see other outlets not turning on. Also the red LED trick discussed in my thread is another indication it's the 12v PSU.
As always, I don't recommend swapping 12v PSU as suggested above. Replacing original low quality with another low quality is inviting this failure again in the future.
Upgrading components as discussed here is the approach I recommend:
My buck converter video linked in the previous post has more to do with the EB832 power over aquabus ports than the 120v AC outlets, but still a great resource if there is an aquabus power issue.

I rarely turn it on/off. only when i do water changes or take it out to clean it
If power cycling it(unplug it for a bit) does not work it will be an internal repair issue.
I have an EB8 with a bad outlet I just tapped off and dont use anyone. If you dont need every plug just dont worry about it.

I will try to power cycle it and see if that helps. Thanks! All of my outlets are in use at the moment
Old EB8 have a different typical problem, which is the failure of solid state relays controlling 6 out of 8 outlets. Which is what I suspect is happening here given the age of an average EB8 at this point.

I had to replace a TRIAC due to a similar issue, But I lost two outlets. If your not electrically savvy and want to deal with desolder/solder, @_AV is the man to talk to. His videos helped me out a few times now.
Those EB8's are discontinued now, Id try to keep it going if it was me.
