So I sold an Xbox 360 guitar that apparently had a faulty switch I didn't know about since I had no Xbox.
Well it sold pretty quick and the buyer said it didn't work so I said try air duster, and if that doesn't work then I will remind the money in full.
Instead he disassembled it completely tryin to repair it. I informed him that was more than I asked him to do and cannot refund the money in full because there is a chance he could have damaged more than what was already messed up.
I said I could give him partial refund for going beyond my request.
Instead of accepting it or at least trying to ask nicely he said (with out the abbreviation).
The buyer has responded to you.Jul 04, 2013 at 8:41 AM
Buyer's message:
"Bs, it did not work before I took it apart. It was defective before I even took the back off."
This violated Ebays profanity rules.
Has anyone had luck with these types of cases?
I clearly told him my instructions to receive a full refund and that was essentially his response after dismantling the guitar.
I have a small 100% feedback score and I'm not trying to rip someone off, but it seems that this guy is under the impression I am.
How would you feel if you were me? Am I wrong to report him for profanity? Is partial refund fair when he could possibly have made it worse?
