It would be nigh impossible to get that information through Ebay without a subpoena and probably one heck of a fight with a subpoena. :D

Fortunatly, there are other ways to get that information when someone leaves enough clues about themselves. I have the sellers address, first and last name and several past judgments against them.

There is alot of people bidding their own stuff up on ebay.Thats the reason I stopped messing with it.You would be surprise at who all is doing it.

Good advice. There are some great sponsors on here that I would not hesitate to deal with on Ebay or off Ebay.

My guess is that these thieves are operating assuming that small amounts like what they tried (but did not) steal from me would seem like too much trouble to try to recover. Erin is going to post an old ebay feedback link that shows bad feedback, but also some good feedback.

I imagine they operated like this: do some good transactions but rip some folks off when the amount was small, believing the buyers would not take the trouble to try and recover a small amount of money. At least that is what their pattern suggests to me. My amount with them was like $99 and change.

They ship something of little/no value and track it. They think they are home free because they have a tracking number. But if you pay thru PayPal with a Credit Card you have other options, even if you lose a PayPal dispute.

That is bad feedback at 96%. I always check and wont buy if feedback is under
99%

I have had over 70 transactions on ebay and have only had 1 bad experience. Paid $20 for an item I never recieved. I waited the 20 days and then disputed paypal for my money. But the money was already gone and they couldnt get me a refund. That was 3 years ago and I left the dispute open.

I learned my way around paypal and ebay disputes by being ripped off by folks like these.

I've been an ebay buyer and seller since 1999 under the same name with 100% positive feedback.

I no the regaler search wont do it. or at least it wont for me

On the eBay home page or My eBay page look in the upper right hand corner and click on "Community." Then on that page about 1/3 down from the top look for this:

"View someone's member profile and more". Follow the instructions.
