Just installed a new Ecotech Vectra L2. And it leaks. My bulkhead is 1”. Plumbing all the way through is 1”. However when the plumbing reaches the final joint to the input, I’m forced to use a 1” slip joint that reduces down to 1”. The input is 38mm(not quite 1.5”). It’s sloppy and it leaks. The f’d up element of this is that you can’t find a 38mm to 1” or 38mm to 1.5” adapter anywhere.

Why would Any manufacturer be so ignorant? I now have a leak on a brand new pump. With no fix in sight. This happened on a tank swap a while back, got lucky, used a crap ton of glue and it never leaked. Spending this kind of coin you’d think they would remove heads from butt and standardize the plumbing, or include adapters in their US market.

Anyone have any insight?
