So I've been reefing since the 90's, but I never been a mushroom guy, at least not beyond having a rock or two full of them in different tanks over the years. That being said, I have a buddy who is giving me a Jawbreaker, so I started looking in to Jawbreakers, and now I'm intrigued by all the different ones. But, it also gets pretty confusing, between Jawbreaker, Candy Crush, Purple Monster, Electus, Eclectus, etc, etc. Deadpool and Kryptonite are pretty simple... I think.
As with all things coral, image searches help, but with the variety of lighting, camera settings, etc, anything can look like just about anything. So educate me, please! What makes one a Jawbreaker and another a Candy Crush? Is there a difference between Electus and Eclectus?
Pictures will help, but maybe breaking it down by base color and highlight color(s) would make it easier. Like a Deadpool is red base with black highlights. A Kryptonite is green base with black highlights. Something like that would be helpful.
