Eel still won't eat

So I purchased a snowflake eel from The lfs a bout three weeks ago and it has still not eaten I have given it silversides, clam, shrimp and everything else I can think of and it will not eat anything any advice?

When i had my eel i would put a piece of food on a sharp stick i made and put it in front of him. Eeels have bad eyesight and you have to present there food right in front of them. Eventually you should be able to get them to come to you to feed. Mine would feed from my hand after i trained him. Present the food to him and make him come get it. Good luck.
