Eel with Crustaceans.

Hi, just had a question. Will an eel eat my crustaceans.

1. nacarius snails
2. Hermit crabs
3. small lobster

Also,
2 tangs, 4 clowns, 1 damsel, and coral and anemone.

Live Aquaria says it will but just wanted to be sure.

Depend on what type of eel you get.

They are divided into pebble toothed and fang toothed.

Pebble toothed evolved to eat inverts, and fang toothed fish.

You already have 2 tangs and 4 clowns in a 75 Gallon.

I would not add an eel there.

You are asking for a disaster. You already are teetering on the edge of it.

They are pebbletooth so their main diet is inverts. I keep hermits and snails with my eels, but be prepared to replace them if/when they get eaten. My snowflake doesnt really eat any because she knows I feed her regularly. My zebra eel will eat any inverts she sees (usually bigger ones, her eyesight isnt as good as the other morays). She ate a large spiny lobster and loves to eat the big turbo snails. She actively hunts conches regardless of size.

Hi, i have a big tesslotta hes never ate anything in my tank 7 tanks 50+ hermits clowns triggers a few damsels. I keep him well fed salmon every 4 days. He is 44 inches.
