The Green Wolf Blenny, also known as the Green Wolf Eel, is a hardy marine predator that requires a spacious, well-established saltwater aquarium with plenty of live rock, caves, and secure hiding places. Maintain a temperature of 72–78°F, salinity of 1.020–1.025 specific gravity, and a pH of 8.1 to 8.4, with stable water quality and a tightly fitting lid, as this species can escape through small openings. As a carnivore, it should be fed Gamma meaty foods such as shrimp, krill, squid, chopped fish, and clams. It can reach approximately 18 inches, so a tank of 125 gallons or larger is recommended. Green Wolf Blennies are predatory and may eat small fish, shrimp, crabs, and snails, making them best suited to a carefully planned fish-only or predator aquarium rather than a reef tank with ornamental invertebrates.
