Electric Aquarium vacuums

Has anyone bought an electric vacuum that really works? I a looking for one. I have read many reviews, but most of them on Amazon are from people who got them for free and are reviewing them. I guess many aren't really honest. It looks like most of them would quickly clog with the small sponge filters they have..

This works for me. Still in service with no issues.

Seems like it might be easier just to syphon into a filter sock and dump the filtered water back in if you aren't doing a WC.
