Electric Flame Scallop?

Is keeping a hoard of Turkey Wing Clams as well as what looks like something from the pinctada genus (pinctada imbricata maybe?) and some other unidentified bivalves happy any indication of being able to keep a flame scallop healthy?

I used to keep the red flames in my 40gal. back in the 90's. I would just dose coral food in the water since I had lots of filter feeding corals. They didn't seem to live long in captivity from my experience but I luved them.

How are you keeping them happy specifically?

I honestly don't know. My tank seems to always run high phosphate, 1-2 ppm sometimes higher, that's to the left of the decimal not right. Nitrate is always around 5ppm. I'm always worried about my coral but they all seem happy too. I have a protein skimmer, chaeto and macro algae. I use phosphate pads, have run GFO and occasionally use lanthanum but it never keeps it in the normal range for long, even running everything else with it. I've quit obsessing over it. I always make sure there are plenty of pods for my mandarin and feed PE calanus which seems to really be making him fat. I mostly only ever feed frozen and sometimes target feed zooplankton to a yellow gorgonian. I have a hidden cup coral that started as one, and is now 6 or 7 and growing so I'm just going with it.

Sorry but I can't help much with that. I had a few damsels since I loved their colors but don't remember them bothering any of my corals.

I think my fish will be fine too. I have some blue leg and one red leg hermit I was wondering about.

All my hermits were in the sump and my flames were on the sand bed. I would think for sure they would bother them since that seems to be hermits and crab's job. lol

In my experience they don’t tend to live very long anyway and in captivity we just can’t replicate their food source/the ocean enough to support them longterm.

Copperband butterflies and similar. I've had the regular flame scallops in my reef for years and just keep up feeding phyto and particulate foods daily. They are happy, but the only ones I have left live in crevices in tunnels because the ones out in the open my CBB eventually got to.

In addition to butterflies, triggers, groupers and wrasses will consume them. They Can be kept long term with filter feeding and decent water quality
