Hello reef group, I’m still new to the hobby. My tank is almost a year old. I have 1
Cleaner shrimp, 2 emerald crabs, 8 turbo snails, & one sand sifter goby…I’m using 2 alumini hd 16 lights on my 75 gallon tank. My elegance coral is the only coral that’s not opening up, the rest of them are, I will post pics below. It’s been almost a month it hasn’t fully opened up & I had it for almost 2 months. I just recently dipped & still getting the same results. I have moved it all over the tank and getting the same…the first photo is my first week & the second photo is now

What do you feed your fish? If you're feeding frozen, it might enjoy a small squirt of brine/mysis (etc.) through a feeder once or twice a week.
I feed frozen mysis shrimp, & I’ll start feeding it individually

I have the exact same problem with mine. Tank and parameters similar to yours. Take a look at the pics below. One ausie elegance opens huge. The other barely opens. I had them both next to each other with no touching and one open one closed. I moved the closed one to a more shaded area. Same result.

How's the PAR? I fostered a 12inch one a month ago and it opened up really well in the corner of my tank that got less PAR

Not sure about the OP par but I've tried mine in lighted and shaded areas without success while the other one is football size in the light probably 75 par.
