Elegance corals

Can you have two elegance within touching distance of each other? I know you have to keep them away from other corals but do they like to be closer together?

Also mine have a three inch base they are attached to. I had them raised up out of the sand bed. An I supposed to push them down into the sand so the flesh is resting on the sand instead of hovering above?

You can. Think about multiple in a tank at frag swaps and reef shows. No issues or chemical warfare

What about the base? Should it be pushed down into the sand or left on top?
