Elephant snail question

I just wondered if anybody knew anything about elephant snails I have a few that showed up with a few pieces of rock I picked up

Does any one have any experience with these snails / slug looking creatures ? Are they beneficial in the reef tank ? Or do they just look neat ?

By elephant snail I presume you mean Scutus antipodes. They are very good reef inhabitants as they only eat micro and macro algae.

Yes it is didn't know what to call them other than elephant snails thank you just wondered I have a three and they are extremely active and neat to watch

reviving an old thread, have two in my tank and think they might be breeding
could possibly be some of the other snails but waters cloudy again 😅
