Hi,

Upon searching on the internet, I notice different colors of this fish: green, light pink and dark red. Any chance, someone owns 1 and could kindly confirm its true coloration and it's hardiness?

I seem to recall having seen some variation among these guys. @eatbreakfast could probably tell you more about how much variation there is, and how they are to work with. Lovely little fish!

Females are much duller colored, being dark brown to almost black.

Males have a more noticeable pattern, but it varies in intensity, based on mood or social dynamics. When agitated or displaying, the red gets much more intense, but normally isn't as bright.

I was going to place an order. Unfortunately, the Venfor's site has 2 different pictures/colors. Upon asking for confirmation, Vendor didn't care to clarify and went in circle. As a result, I will wait unit I see 1 in person.

Mine is usually dull, striped can range from green to pinkish red depending on how the fish feels. Took him a good 6 months to really develop any pattern, was super dull for quite some time.
