My Bristle star has ripped its leg off!!!! Yeah you hear me right! It detached its own leg. What is going on? And to furthermore creep me out its leg is still moving! I heard that bristle stars Asexually reproduce but I never thought mine would???! Pics below. I don't have any fish that would bit it so I don't think that's what happened. Thanks in advance.

It's how they reproduce.....what's the issue here?
 
how long have you had it? Any sudden changes to pH, alk or other water paramaters? If so, it could be stressed and this can happen
 
No sudden changes and It isn't moving. I put a big juicy clam in front of it but it isn't eating it. Three months.
