Yes very bouyant and unable to swim back downIs the fish very bouyant? IE unable to swim or stay off the surface?
If so I suspect swim bladder issues. The best solution is to lance, or hope for the best.. not easy to do...

Not when I tried it, although I was unsuccessful. They go nuts when you first get it but a quick lance and removal should work.Do you sedate the fish?
I was able to take some of the air out. Good thing we have a stash of syringe. She not as bouyant now but seems like i did not get all of it out. She’s in a quarantine now that has been running for a while. So she will have a good amount of food there. Not when I tried it, although I was unsuccessful. Some have used clove oil to sedate but it’s also used for euthanasia. I don’t have experience with it for sedation.

Another picture of her before the procedure
The fish died yesterday. I think her constant need for food made it faster for her to pass away.
