Guys
My orp meter was faulty só I disconnected it but left the power support in place for the new one

I just witnesses all my corals closing up and found the end of the power supply had fallen into the sump , as I pulled it out a little cloud came from it

I’ve got carbon in but what’s likely the cause? Because it was live the power supply or toxins released but in a space of a few minutes this happened

Am I on death row here ?
What about a poly filter ?

How long was it in the tank?

15-20 minutes
It looks like the coating of the end has melted off

No improvement so 25% wc in action

Where’s the boss today ?
Randy you got any ideas

It did, the water made it so it was shocking your system.
I think because it didn’t trip it got so hot and melted the coating off

Do you know what it’s likely to be?
I can’t tell if my stonies are affected but all soft , nems and lps I can tell

Holy cow! Got a picture of the tank?

Nice yellow belly hippo! Did you do the water change? Hopefully the worst is over.
Thanks
Hes not a yellow belly , maybe the picture quality
Yes 25% , bag of carbon and ozone running
Any deaths during the night will hopefully get skimmed or I may wake up to carnage I just don’t know

Man! So sorry this happened! This is, unfortunately how we all learn! From others mishaps. I sure hope the rest of your tank is able to recover. Please keep us posted.

Hey there
Yes I’ll keep updated
Thanks

So all in all I lost 2 sps but what’s bugging me is why my Xenia won’t recover ? Is there something it specifically doesn’t like perhaps , I know people struggle with it but it’s always thrived in my tank until post “ accident”
