Man, y'all are nuts to live there. Not even August yet. Having said that, prior to these storms, heat index was already in 100 for us in late May. Not looking forward to the rest of the summer. We got 100 in the shade last year in august, which is not Houston weather. That's Surprise weather.

I finished mine last summer. I stained it and didn't like the stain, so I rented a floor sander and redid it.
