Is this normal? I heard that they both get territorial around their little houses. They seen to be happy though lol, will they end up fighting?

i've never had fish that developed a fighting habit.

Jawfish will sometimes let other fish use their burrow, like firefish or dartfish. So if the engineer goby is still a juvenile it may be tolerated. But as the engineer goby matures, and it's burrowing gets more involved, territorial disputes may develop.
