Hi Erin, I was just looking at your thread. I am starting out and just added a royal gramma and yellow tail damsel with 2 clownfish in my 29 gal. They are getting along fine. Are you using the Tidal filter now? What do you put in it and how is it doing?

I've been looking at the simple damsel because I want some blue in my tank and it seems like damsels are the only fish that have the blue that I'm looking for lol. Can you suggest any other bold blue fish?

I didn't get the Tidal for the 29g. I have a SunSun 304b canister on it, since I already had it. Right now, I'm just running it with filter floss, since I don't have anything in the tank yet, but I'm sure I'll end up changing that once I add fish. As far as what I'll put in the canister, that will be a question I will be asking all these fine people very soon lol. Stick around! We're glad you're here :)

Thanks! I can't take credit for the sand. The 1k did that. It is pretty cool, though :)
Looks great. Flat sand beds are boring. How did you end up setting the gyre?

Thanks! My CUC should be delivered Thursday or Friday. I got blue leg hermits, dwarf ceriths and nassarius snails. I'm also going to be having my lfs order my green clown goby and hi fin red banded goby, so hopefully next week, I'll have a fish or two to add ;Happy For now, I'm ghost feeding to keep the cycle going

Got my CUC today. I had ordered 20 blue leg hermits, 10 dwarf ceriths, and 10 nassarius to be split between The Enabler and The Enabler Junior. I ended up with 21 blue legs, 10 nassarius and 70 or more dwarf ceriths! Holy cow! What am I going to do with that many?! I mean, a lot of them are teeny tiny itty bitty, but still!
I also stopped into my lfs while I was waiting for the CUC to be delivered. I wanted a hi fin red banded goby, but the supplier told the owner not to count on getting any any time soon. So i grabbed this little wheeleri goby. Looks like I'll be on the look out for a randalls pistol shrimp soon
