Looking for advice on new skimmer for 200 gallon tank. I like idea that eshoppes has Sicce pumps, but I would like REAL life experience with any of these skimmers. Also readily avaiLable replacement pumps would of course be a Hugh Factor. Thanks, other info on skimmers other than bubble magus which in my experience were tempemental would also be welcome,

Why do you like the idea of Sicce pumps? For ease of replacement?

Supposed to have excellent trac record of reliability and quiet.

My experience they were not quiet at all, but that was in a nano…loads of good pumps out there, guess what I’m saying is don’t miss out on a good skimmer because one has a sicce pump.

I run a lot of Octo skimmers for my service clients. They are solid for the prices. Great foam and reliability. Not temperamental. I run several large Deltecs as well. Great skimmer with long term reliability but pricey. I have not used eshoppes skimmers. The sumps and other things I have installed of theirs always seem entry level budget build quality. I do like sicce pumps though
