ESHOPPS Mariner 70 Build

Ok, so Dino update:

I've been dosing MB7 for just at 2 weeks (got a new bottle yesterday), I've been running UV in th DT for about the same amount of time, and I've had the filter floss hanging in the tank to help "collect" the Dinos.

Yesterday, there was very little Dinos on the filter floss, most of the corals are recovering (unfortunately it looks like the Care Bears is gone).

Pink Cadillac is recovering nicely and 1 of the frags is growing and encrusting the frag plug nicely

Bubblegum Digitata is showing TONS of PE and the little frag of it is coloring up and starting to grow. The Birdsnest has some tissue recession underneath but the top is basically fully healed and growing again.

Like I've been saying, we've got this!

How much do you dose daily? I dose 1ml/10g

How much do you dose daily? I dose 1ml/10g
I'm doing 5 ml twice a day and my estimated tank volume (calculated by trial and error dosing...) is just over 55 gallons of the 70+30 total system size... It seems really low to me but my 125+40 was 95 gallons so maybe? 58% of total system volume is actual water?

TLDR

1ml/10g of total system size daily

which is

2ml/10g of actual estimated water volume in tank daily

Added another 100 ppm of magnesium tonight. For the record, I'm pretty sure that's about 5 times as much as I added Friday... Yeah, I underestimated significantly I think. I'll check again tomorrow.

Alk is 8.9
Mag is still only about 1050 (hopefully 1150 now)
Calcium is 390
Didn't check phosphates or nitrates
SG is 1.026
Didn't check pH

Yeah, I need to test again. I think I need another 15-20 tablespoons of Mag to get to 1350+

And how are you doing with the calcium, or do you normally keep it at 390?

My calcium is usually on the high side closer to 480. I dose some here and there but very rarely need to.

1 caught, 6 to go!

Well, 7 if you count the RFA.

And another one...

Sorry, dirty glass and lights out...

Holy Toledo! Standing here typing and "flop flop flop flop" on the lid. Stupid Leopard took a hop. Nothing chasing her or anything.

My leopard h
Yep. I gave her a little nudge and she jumped back through the lid.
My leopard has been doing the display dance as if trying to go thru although does stop to feed normally when the fro food gets put in and does a bit of foraging. No jumping attempts, yet.

Ok, POTM submission unless I get a better one today.
