Well, I had big plans of potentially trying to frag the Zoas this weekend but instead I ended up putting the transmission back in the Envoy and then taking it back out. Transmission has been rebuilt and we got a new converter for it and a rebuilt pump. The pump failed and popped out the pressure regulator. We're not sure if the bore is wrong on the pump or if the pressure regulator just wasn't seated properly. We decided we'll just get a new pump rather than put it all back together and risk having to take it out a fourth time. After the pump, the entire guts of the transmission have basically been replaced so that should be better...

Also I ended up not going and looking at fish yesterday. I guess that's good news and bad news?

Started unpacking the RO today only to find they accidentally put the wrong fittings in the box. The bad news is not bad, I just have to wait until next week to hook it up - they're sending the correct fittings. The good news, it came with a Spectrapure RO float valve solenoid that they don't need me to return.

Well, originally the delivery date was scheduled for next Thursday but apparently they had one at their Scottsdale, AZ location and it will be here this Saturday instead!

RO is ROing! It says give it an hour to break in... TDS in is 350, TDS out is 0. How long does everyone typically break theirs in for?

Drinking water ROs we always ran 2 gallons through so I'd assume this is going to through about 1-2 an hour? Maybe more than that.

80 PSI at 77° should produce 100 GPD at 250 TDS
I'm pushing 72 PSI, 350 TDS probably right around 65° so maybe 65-75 GPD so probably between 2.5 and 3.5 gallons per hour.

2 is a good low estimate.

I'm currently looking into DIY alkalinity testing. Sounds interesting and doable. Maybe I'll set up a system one of these days?

Looks like 3 dosing heads and a pH probe is what's needed (plus a testing container).
