i am saving up for the maven, also planning on the Launch. will need to see how this year plays out.
Me too since it’s a stand alone it will work with my apex if I decide to stay with it.

Minnow would be controllable with the Hydros so the pH probe would tell it when to stop whereas the Jebao would be a set amount of acid each time and the pH probe would have to register how much acid went in when the pH hits 4.0. it would be doable, just easier with the Minnow.

I talked it over with my wife and decided I'd do the LE and Gyre, a X2 Starter with ATO pump and Solenoid, and, if the TSA is a gift card good for any purchase, probably a Minnow.

The cool thing about the Minnow is the pump can go forward an reverse so dosing live Phyto or Copepods wouldn't need a rinse cycle afterwards - dose 200 mL forward, dose 200 mL backwards. I'd have to figure out how much line to fill and how much goes into the tank.

A simple T or Y fitting with check valves and a jar of RO water would allow for a reverse rinse and a top off to the jar at the same time. Might be kinda cool, but that's down the road a bit.
Cool idea! Keep us updated on this please

I'm probably not going to do the automatic but when I get the new doser I'll be trying it out manually and testing it against my Hanna from r a bit. If everything works properly, besides the initial cost of purchasing the dosers, it will be relatively cheap - keeping a pH probe or pen calibrated and the cost of 0.1N acid which is fairly cheap compared to Hanna reagents.

Alk is at 10.1 today, so we're trending down 0.1 dKh daily at my 33 mL of Randy's 2 Part. I'm going to test again Thursday and see where we're at and adjust from there as needed. If we're sitting at 9.6-9.7 I'll leave it and test again in another week. Once we hit between 8.6 and 9.0 I'll add 2 mL per day back for 2-3 days and check again.

I'm glad to see your going to be a hydros dosing expert by the time I get mine :thinking-face:

My son wanted to go ride his bike and my wife wanted me to look in the garage at something so I walked outside and there was a package on the front porch. Apparently my sister-in-law bought me a coral lens kit for my birthday!

Lol it's a lot to read! Very in depth! It's going be a minute before I'm up to date :grinning-face-with-sweat:
Don't worry, only about 20% is serious reefing business. The other 80% is nonsense and 3D printing and other stuff. I think... :thinking-face: That could be the thread for the 125 I guess? Maybe both.

I read your nano nem tank and that makes me want to set on up now :face-with-tears-of-joy: I really want a gold stripe maroon clownfish so I kinda want to put my bonded pair in a separate tank with a nem to host :thinking-face:

Yeah, it's empty now. I'm currently using it for an experiment. The inhabitants ended up living in my sump now.

Who do you think you are? 100 gallon reefer? Those photos should be in different threads not posts of that's the case!

However since when were you good at photography?!

I'm testing out my new phone clip filters.

Not sure what a Six Stars filter is... Still don't know even after messing with it some.
