ESHOPPS Mariner 70 Build

I guess I'm due for a thread update...

I've been feeling kinda like garbage since Thursday so I haven't done much plus first week of the new job didn't allow a lot of spare time during the week. BUT with the upcoming week off, I intend to do some maintenance tasks. I'll display this @JoJosReef style I guess?

  • Plug in the new Turf Scrubber (I printed it a week or so ago now...?
  1. Test something, anything (or don't...)
    1. That requires buying reagents I think
° Get some rest. I'm sick and don't have to work for a week...
2.a Maybe a small water change
  1. Top off auto top offs
So Tim how does the Turf Scrubber work ? And what light did you use ?

Turf Scrubber works:

Water trickles over a medium that is acceptable for algae to gently root on - craft mesh in most cases
Algae takes hold and starts growing when given sufficient light and nutrients from the aquarium
Every few days/weeks, algae is "harvested" and tossed in the garbage leaving some behind as a starter culture

I run it at 100% intensity on Purple for 12 hours.

Ok, so I started the day topping off the ATO so ✅

Next, I worked on the IOAOI so that's for a different thread.

Then I made some fresh saltwater for a small water change ✅

Next, while waiting I plucked a bunch of GHA so another ✅

I also, after discussing it some this morning, harvested some algae from the scrubber ✅

Water should be mixed so when I'm feeling "not lazy" I'll go do a change.
