This might be the route I take. IKEA has a nice little cabinet that might work.

We did an American Furniture Warehouse book shelf.

Not the best picture plus I just snowed the tank. I've got some Bettas and most of my food and supplements on the shelf and then a standard 10 gallon for the ATO reservoir.

New member here... just ordered a Mariner 100 for my first tank, plus lots of toys (AI Hydra 32s, VorTech MP40s, and lots of other stuff, largely researched here). Can't wait to get started.

Get an adjustable one and it'll make things easier. I forget what size I have for my 70 but I wish I had gone a little bigger. See what the overflow is rated for an go a little bit bigger and adjust down as needed.

Thanks. I think the flow rate of the 100 tank is 1250 GPH so I’ll aim for more and adjustability.

I went with a @Simplicity Aquatics pump for my return and one for my UV sterilizer, and they have been fantastic. Just enough control and very quiet.

SaltwaterAquarium has the Sicce Syncra SDC 9.0 on sale for $349 today so I just snagged one of those for my return pump. From what I understand this may be overkill, but maybe that will extend the pump's life.

Any body else have a loud sump? Its the water trickling down form spaces around the filter sock I think.?

Yes, mine did that. I ended up having to buy the acrylic filter boxes. That are heavy and pull it down some. It still trickles a little bit, but not near as much after I added them. It did take a couple days to quiet down. I don’t think without them it ever would’ve quieted down, though the filter socks just aren’t heavy enough to pull that down enough to keep the gaps from forming.

I feel like the tank should include them if there’s no way to get it quiet without them.
