Euphyllia eating palyclads

I noticed 3 of them on my lemon lime torch. At first glance they looked like a bleached area of coralline algae about an inch long. I dipped the torch and they died. I also scrapped off the eggs that i saw. The eggs were around the perimeter were the flesh attaches to the skeleton stem about an inch or more below the head. No other euphyllia appears to have any. But that lemon lime torch has been in my system for at least 1/2 a year. Can they remain dormant or just take along time to grow?

Anyone have information on them. I can not find much online about them.

There isn't a lot of info out there for FW's other than the acropora eating variety. I would treat the tank in a similar fashion as if you had AEFW's.

I've been seeing a lot of posts about these in the past couple months now. I haven't seen them at all in about 5+ years, but people had them occasionally back then. Yes, they are a real thing, and not a new one. Dips and inspect/remove eggs.
