My last 150g tank was all SPS with a few zoas. I've been back in the hobby for about a year after a six year hiatus. I currently have a 20g Nuvo and am trying lps for the first time with a few hammers, torches, and frospawn.

My question is how far down the skeleton should the tissue go on healthy euphyllia?

Mine seem to be just below the head/polyp, but today I was at a fellow reefers house and the tissue on his torches were significantly further down the skeleton.

So are his healthier? Is there a way to get the tissue to grow? All articles I read on tissue are hobbyist dealing with recession.

Will try to get photos of tissue but here are some shots to see health of coral.
