All the above, I let it ride for a few years and I am slowly putting it back together again.

If it never hits peak again I’m ok trying to see what can happen.

The highs and lows in life are going to happen. Either you quit and crawl back in bad and pull the covers over your head or you drag yourself back on your feet and try again.

Anything in between is just procrastination or emotional distraction.

Our tank was set up for about 1.5 years before the dinos and equipment failure caused me to lose all hope. :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

We tore the wretched thing down, but I am already very excited for the fresh start. Going the live rock route this time, and we are going to focus on letting everything settle in and get into a good routine of regular water changes and testing before we think about fish or coral. It's not that we didn't take our time the first time around with this tank, but we didn't focus as much on maintenance and daily care, which contributed to all the issues. Once the live rock is in, we will focus on watching all the hitchhikers grow for a little while.

Was battling cloudy water, realized both my UV sterilizers took a crap (one the cord melted!!) and then my heater exploded in my sump and had a current!! Got my UVs back up and a titanium heater and took 4 days to have clear water. Now everyone is all good!!!
