Hi Reefers,

I am new this site and was told this was the place to get some answers.

Could someone help me out with an id of this Caribbean snail. They are 1.5" to 2.5" at the base. They do an amazing job on hair algae ect and dont bother my corals. They are from the S. Florida area and I was told they were turbos.

Thanks,

floridareef

I thought so as well, but from what I have read Astreas cannot get this big.

could be a tiger trochus, i have a trochus snail that is 3 inches around and they are the same shape as astrea snails
