I have been reading some mixed messages about the iDip reader. Some swear by it others swear at it.
I was watching a random video on YouTube and this guy was talking about how great the iDip is for testing and that he only uses iDip. I am only really concerned about nitrate, phosphate, Alk nice to have would be calcium and mag.
Looking to hear from someone that uses this instrument AND also has checked the values with a lab test or ICP test.

I bought the iDip when it 1st came out for marine. I already had hanna checkers and other test kits.
The iDip back then did have some issues and was not always accurate. Phosphate would not work at all. I stopped using it and went back to the hannas.

Skip forward 3 years... I heard they made some improvements and decided to update the software and try it again but I was getting errors. I called their support and told them how long I had it and the story above. They had me check some things and then they sent me a whole new checker and strips.

The new checker works great. Cal, Thh and ammonia have drops now that you use with the strips. It is accurate when compared to the hanna tests and is alot easier to use. They have videos on how to use it that you can watch.
